Antioch: A House of Prayer unto Apostolic Sending
“We will give ourselves no rest until He establishes Jerusalem as a praise of the earth.”
If the gospel of the Kingdom ends in Jerusalem, then the church is called to labour with the same anguish that was expressed by Jesus (Matt 9:35-38) and Paul (Romans 9:1-3). In the midst of a nation that is known to be strategically interconnected or highly influenced, we live out the Antioch calling of being a united community stewarding the burden for Israel in prayer, worship, and fasting. Like Paul, we resolve to give ourselves no rest until the natural olive branches are grafted back in and Jesus takes his throne in Jerusalem. It is in this place that the Holy Spirit will set apart and send out some with an apostolic mandate. Songs of worship to the Righteous One will emergeAs a house of prayer we join with, and equip the coastland region to release songs of worship to the Righteous One
Scripture: Acts 9-11, Romans 9-11, Matthew 9-11, Acts 13, Isaiah 24, 42, 62.

What comes to mind when you think of Singapore being described as “Antioch of Asia”?
What does an apostolic sending mean?
How can you and your community express the Antioch community as was modelled by Paul, Barnabas, and their community in Acts 13?
