#6: Building the Highway

Building the highway

“We contend for the fullness of the sons of Ishmael and the Middle East – a blessing on the earth.”

The great High Priest from the line of Melchizedek will bring ultimate fulfilment of the Abrahamic covenant in the Middle East. The blood of Yeshua will bring regional reconciliation between the sons of Isaac and Ishmael, Jacob and Esau, Jew and Gentile. Egypt and Assyria must come into unity through prayer and worship, to provoke Israel unto jealousy and as refuge for her final hour of tribulation.

This final frontier of the gospel is our ultimate end in mind as a house of prayer. Together with the coastlands, we release a new song and contend for the desert and its cities to sing for joy (Isaiah 42:10-14), and for the sons of Abraham to become a blessing on the earth.

Scripture: Genesis 12-15, Isaiah 19, 35, 40, 49.

Reflection questions:

  1. What do you understand about the Abrahamic covenant?

  2. What do you think is on God’s heart for the descendants of Ishmael?

  3. In view of God’s heart for reconciliation - how can we contend for a reconciliation in the body of Christ starting with our direct communities? How can it start with us?
